OH right./..I did see the square hoel but figured that wasnt it, doh!! So I presume a standard wrench will reach?
yup, I found it easy with a ratchit spanner tho. size 14 iirc.
Try starting it and let it attempt it even if its not turning over for about 10 seconds, then feel the starter positive and earth and the earth cables, if one gets warm/hot then that shows resistance and thats your bad cable.
Had a similar situation on two bikes, one had fried the voltage regulator, but a new battery would fix that but then burn out a few minutes after running, and the other time was on a single cylinder 564cc bike that uses a decompression mechanism to allow excess pressure out of the cylinder to ease starting, the mechanism had broke its spring so there was too much compression acting against the starter. Try popping out the plugs and seeing if itll turn, might have something leaking fluid into the inlet system and flooding the cylinders, causing hydrolock
I fitted projectors in place of my fogs so they have a tonne of light output but have a clean cut off so dont blind anyone. My headlights are spot on, standard 55w bulbs, maybe try polishing the outside of the glass cos it doesnt make sense that mine are good and everyone elses seem to be bad, so must be either discoloured/damaged lenses or poor earthing.
i guess between obd1 and 2 they would have made some changes.
on an old mondeo i had, when i changed the clocks in that the fuel guage started to read the wrong way. was great when i sold the car with a "full tank" pmsl
I cant remember if you have to do both for the alternator belt but removing belts is quite easy job
The alternator is here anyway and yours unless you say no
it should adjust all ways, best off parking facing a blank wall and look at the beam pattern on the wall of the good headlight and then adjust to similar level etc, if it just went through the MOT they check headlight levels so it should be ok
There's always blind eye garages that will always exist.
There's no way they are going to be able to police all the mot changes.
They would have to clamp down on all mot garages and equipment to get it to run by the book.
Welcome! What's the road dyno? Dynolicious or G-Tech or something?
Well you could double check by seeing what goes into your disty. Iirc it's a 5volt signal. If you look up the HEI mod on mx-3.com it might help clarify.

For future reference you can get them in any motor factors, I had to replace 3 in my car (not an mx3) cost me 17p each, I just took in the bulb, most of them come across bulbs enough to know exactly what it is, I have a spare bulb still in its box so Ill get the number off it for your future reference

i remember in my old mondeo i had standard speakers of 5x7 so i bought some brackets and a couple of sets of 3 way pioneer round speakers and a fusion sub kit and i have to say that the sound was amazing. although the total cost of the sound system was more than i paid for the car
personally for me its door speakers over 6x9's any day
