Enjoyed reading up on this project. How are things now ? Did you manage to succesfully use the brake setup?

@marco that would be great, thank you :) Minor update: I found and fixed the ground issue, I need better grounding, but it will do for now. Clutch is fixed, had to remove pretty much everything I just put in to get to the issue, somehow the clutch fork came away from the pin it sit's on, the spring clip seems ok so just put it back and will see how it goes! Everything back on again, and it's running again. Just needs tuning now. One issue I have noticed is clearance between the turbo downpipe and the clutch fork, I've ground a little off it, but it's still hitting the exhaust, which is annoying! Anyone had similar issues? @les My mate Stuart (from Horbury-Wakefield) did all the paintwork & wheels. He paints lots of classics. Doing a VW splitty full rebuild (bodywise) at moment for a client.

I do need a part if anybody could help.. Its the bar at the bottom of the chassis behind the front bumper.. I haven't had a proper look but it looks removable.. Either that or I'd have to get someone to fab n weld it up

About time I did an update. Car has been running well. Swapped in my Walboro 255, improved 3rd 4th AFRs, but did reveal how it starves with less that half a tank :? Annual testing: Got my custom evo8 manifold skimmed flat, no more leaking :) Current big project: OEM JDM LSD swap from v6 to i4 G series box. Ring gear fun 'bout flipping time… mmm helical ARP bolts and nuts Only identifying numbers: A beautiful sight: So the box is all bolted up. Just getting axles ready then it's time to slip the engine out and tidy things up.

While in holidays in Latvia i got both crank seals for my engine for €25.Seems to be a good price. German made.😊😊😊

I Have tried MIG TIG and Stick just one time of each though and yeah TIG was my favourite. Marco how much do yo reckon ya have to pay for a half decent welder? Not looked at gas prices yet tbh, sounds like I am in for a shock! Have also been looking for Jobs I can do indoors now so have rigged myself up this drilled powered polishing mop to start mirror polishing the aluminium power steering bottle I made a while ago and a few other bits. Need to get a stage 1 mop and compound on this first but you get the idea,lol Before: After:

Hello fella long time no speak. Thought i would drop back and see how things are going. I take it the old girl has gone now. Hope you had fun with her :)

Few progressions today removed front bumper in order to remove fog lights to allow for cold air feeds. May also have a side cold air feed from bumper. Not sure yet. Relocated coolant reservoir. Hopefully it will still function in its position. Now need to get ducting in, clean up and re spray components while front bumper is off, extend coolant feed. Then get a nice large tig welded intake pipe. Also found a breather pipe that connects under throttle body loose and hanging off. Now clamped this in position so it's not moving!. Also thinking about getting evans waterless coolant while I'm playing with coolant system.
