well the later type engines with the differnt dissy if the crank shaft sensor is bust then it wont start or spark at all but the earlier type still runs just rubbish and all spluttery, i know of someone who replaced the dissy and no change to how it was, but saying that see if someone is local to try there dissy

Im back after a year of hell, once I remember my password for my photo bucket I'll put up some new pics :rimshot:
Welcome back bud :)
Yea that was the thing, I would have felt guilty modding it. I was going to be civil about it though and not go crazy, only do reversible mods. I don't do a lot of mileage now either. Ah well! I hope the new owner looks after it.
Tyre shine and black shoe polish is what I used before. They get as dirty as an Irish catholic priest after 5 mins on the road so it's pointless really, worth getting 'em off to see if there's any rust hidden away all the same.
If you look at Marcos straight neck photos your see you can get the battery in there but your need a tight bend to clear it.
I've wondered what the small red top batteries could cope with v6 starting.

wow, nice car, you could end up getting a full return on that if the rear indiglo az-3 light works as I am sure mooneggs is desperate for an AZ-3 one :bigok:
Ha, I've already got an AZ-3 one that works, check my DD worklog :)
Pretty cool to have an actual Autozam AZ-3 though!!
Slight update.
Built an interface cable and continued some programming.
I've had a busy few weeks but am making progress nonetheless.
Since it's been a long-old-time sine I did any microcontroller programming (left uni about 7 years ago) it's pretty slow going (when I get a chance to work on it).
