Engine code location?

could anyone tell me where the engine codes are on the engine on a v6

The Diag box on mine is under the hood, passenger side near the windscreen.

Just smaller then a deck of cards on their side.

you mean the engine number? and the stamp? They're on the back of the block where the head meets the block on the corner IIRC, the corner the powersteering pump is on.

thanks guys, maybe a easier way to do this how do i find out if its actually a 1.8 or if its already had a conversion as my engine looks like its been out before from cable tied wires , bodged in standard air box

easiest one to see is look through the runners, on the rear head you'll see k8-101
