@155f1cb878=robx1r:
the idling problem could be your MAF, had the same problem. or your Idle Air Controller (IAC, bit attached to the underside of the throttle body)
will have a look.
seems to be doing it when engines warm and say i go shop come back and get in.
thanks for reply
@040b543a0b=Mechanic:
I think he is looking for the the larger intake pipe, throttle body to afm. Measure the diameter and length and call your local motor parts company, they will cut you a piece.
Probably only cost a tenner.
correct mechanic.
if they cut a piece there wont be the holes for the other pipes will there?or dont i need to worry about them?
i got all them silicone small ones from a induction kit i bought.
you may remember me saying about it mechanic and i could not fit the metal tube as it wouldnt fit the throttle body.
ideally a metal one that will fit would be a good upgrade on this engine as this part seems to pop holes all the time.
lol I was dubious about buying Roc's CV as I thought £32 was too cheap for the amount of machining and work that goes into making one of those! £12 you've gotta worry unless it's an unwanted part sell out, but sure it'll keep you going. Everything I've bought of FPS has never had to be replaced, so the minimal extra cash is worth the security to me. Ebays great but I personally avoid it for functional, vital parts.
if the reg is k397 drp leave it mate. it was mine sold it in cardiff and been told they are trying sell over the bridge. the rear end wont last till next mot. and engine is shot.!!!
and Happy New Year to you, and everyone else!
If you can get any good distribution for ksport coilovers, big brakes etc I'd be very interested. Though I realise that's a very limited market.
How about friction gear and nut to fix that ticking? Though that's probably OEM only? Shifter bushings, poly bushings… Hmm when I think about it most things are covered!
