I remember when it used to be about 52p a litre!!! People sign the bloody form, don't cost nothing and there is nothing to lose eh?
+1 i know nothing will happen and i may get a few junk emails but it isnt going to cost anything and i guess there is potential for cheaper fuel. hence why i signed :P you never know nearly 50k already
Cant say Im sold on vinyl wrapping for longevity either, short term would be alright, but what happens if you get a car park scrape etc! and its not going to go in the door hinge area or under bonnet is it…

could you try and blow and suck through it to see if it should stop the flow of air? the valve only closes on mine when i blow hard (dont even say it!)
yep, closes regardless when blown, fine when sucked…....oooeeerrrr....
Thanks, will get one ordered at some point then as I can breathe freely through mine until I blow hard. Sure itll be fine in its current state for a few days, been broken for months Im guessing, its atleast moving now which is more than it was the other day.
@bff90cb529=jay:
i dont realy wanna sell it but ig some one offers a good price i may consider it
I hear that…...... still, I think I'd sell my wife before the bonnet!  lol (shhhhh)

That body kit is from the same guy with the red "butterfly" mx3.
was just gonna say that as I had a few emails from him with horrific pictures of his car, rainbow leds etc, offered me the body kit for £100, Id already seen it listed seperately so asked for better pics as I thought it looked pretty dog eared
Yep sure does. There is a match with certain st205s and mazda rear diffs. Getting hold of these will be tricky though, they're not the more common ones. So I can see the toyota diff getting adapted in yet! Again this has already been done, more work though! And more for the IVA to poke about. Realistically going to be a Q plate anyway.
Haha well the gtx/r tunnel is quite shallow too, maybe just a lazy chassis thing. One of the old skool mazda guru techs said some mx3s actually had part of the stamped 4wd floor pan from factory.
Yea I hope it works out, the worst result is a part out. I'd at least be left with a forged BP I could fairly easily use in an fwd mx3 or an mx5 :) Financially all I stand to lose is an mx3 shell and a load of expensive argon  And thanks for the luck, I'll need it!
Ahh I dare not evaluate the budget too much, minimum:
engine, anc, loom etc £200
complete rear £300
toyota box & bits £150-200
Prop £50
Adapter £150+
Garfy, So hopefully not too far beyond 1k should get most of the swap and AWD sorted. Then getting the power will probably be the bigger cost.
whitefinish, thanks though it's not yet… still a concept! I won't believe it until it's done, neither should anyone else  And no lol junkyards here think they're selling gold plated parts. I really would rather have kept this quiet, that way failure is a secret  But it's great getting things bounced off me to keep it going. Meh nothing ventured nothing gained!
sometimes this forum is sooooo backwards. You lot whine about newbies selling their cars here, or object outright cos we all already own mx3's so why would be interested in another, these are things most of you have said in the past, yet as soon as someone we know lists one, even though theres no details at all or pics and its not even theirs, what happens? This happens…... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLnWf1sQkjY

So what it is your trying to say here? apart from the '3 is faster round corners (and over bumps) than a ££££ 600hp mega beast! :P
dunnno about 2.5 Im afraid, Im a 1.6 kinda guy ( will end up making the same power with phase II of the project though;)
NO no no I never said the 3 was faster than the 600 bhp car just the MK2 bargy type one on the roads I drive on now. The Do-Luck car would if it didn't keep breaking utterly destroy the 3 and rightly so the money it flaming cost. What I am angling at here is that having owned multiple aristo's I am more than familiar with owning a highly underrated virtually unknown vehicle.
OK so I can now see why you'd stick a 2.5 V6 in if its basically the same lump as the 1.8.
Has no-one considered putting a 2.5 TT 1JZ-GTE lump in an MX3? Lightweight inline 6 that if you chuck a single turbo on it is more than capable of over 500bhp, granted you'd have to put the power out the back which going on the weight distribution would be quite difficult.
welcome back mate!!, it has been a bit quiet :D . i didnt get that mx in the end mate, the price was bloody tempting but i just honestly havent had the cash or time :(
