I will write you a list of the parts i ordered and the company from whom i got it from, everything will be in the kit to do the job. If you buy the parts any welder would be able to make it up for you in a few hours for no more than say £100 so for around say £300 you can have a good quality custom exhaust system.
thats wat ive read but cba with the cost of getting one, they all in the usa. think i may use the mx6 one as a base, gonna be close as i can get. been pricing up the tubing and adapters and comes to bout 60 so mx6 it is i think
Hi,
As Marco said, check if it's ODBI or ODBII
ODBI has three yellow plugs going into the ECU, ODBII has four grey plugs. Should be albe to tell by looking at the ECU if it has 3 or 4 plug inputs.
If both the same it should work.
They changed them on cars built around 94 - 95 I think! But just cos your car is registered in 94 doesn't really mean it was built in 94.
Question to anyone else, any ideas how you tell the model year by the VIN??
what need to be taken off to get the bottom tensioner off the car?
I undid the 2 bolts that look to be holding it on, but it wouldn't budge.
Where can I buy a new one in the UK?
@f2021af71e=Rix13:
Lucky I checked this post whilst I was in parts shop, just about to get the wrong one LOL.
even though most members are well seasoned and have plenty of experience, it's always wise to check a manual if it's available
have a set on mine already to go if u fancied
still attched to a ze de hybrid if you fancied more
i need rid soon as the car is being crushed
so could be cheap
well here's a link to an A/C installation guide but maybe you could use it for the removal also? the pictures and diagrams obviously will be reversed since you have a RHD mx-3 but hopefully this will give you an idea of what's involved… it's really not too bad once you get started -

Cheers bud, i will hopefully get a chance to look myself this week.
Hopefully the swap is as easy as described as i could really do with my car back on the road.
The list of donor cars help too.
Cheers again.
Cheers
I will try to get some pictures up, but by the sounds of it i shouldn't worry too much about the age of the engine that i put in.
I'm also seeing a couple of whole mx-3's about which would either do as engine donors or as just a new car for me and i can swap over SS exhaust and lowering kit etc.
