Kind of disconcerting when it happens in a traffic jam on the A1 tho  I thought my wheel was gonna drop off and it turned out to just be the crap guard behind the brake disc that had started rubbing.
ok cheers mate will give it a try.
and rhino remember our cars arnt 1.8v6 and its not even 2.5v6.
mine and marcos cars are special.
2.5l v6 j-spec engine :D and when ur using standard calipers its nice to have the little insurance policy abs gives. beleive me when u spend 2-3k on the project and 7 or 8th day u have it u nearly crash cus the back locks and it starts fish tailing on u is no laughing matter.
Got my car backnow, they said old components in the top of the shock joint or something. Seems to be better anyway, it does crash a bit, but i expect thats just because it is now firmer.
The ride height doesn't look a lot different to be honest, but then the car is lighter than stock. It does corner very flat now. The tyres just beg for forgiveness now, looks like the next weakest link in the chain is the 50 profile 15's!
Still theres enough tread for the nurburgring in a couple of weeks, then ill think about some 16's before silverstone.
depending on how you wat your ride to be and cost of tires
205 55 r16 is a cheeper tire size coz its more common so most places will have it in stock
this is the size im planing on puting on my car
smoother ride
i've done most of it just waiting for the new parts putting the pistons back in is easy if you know how, in fact if anybody wants there's rebuilt let me know and i'll put as price together to do it
so has anyone done this? pics???
does it work with the MS miata rear rotor and calipers? or do we just use the stock mx-3 brake rotor?
if this works that would be amazing!!
little update on this fault, tried freeing it up by twisting it in and out, seemed fine, put it back together, then I pulled the hand brake on and it worked the wheel wouldn't turn, now though when I brake the pedal has got loads of travel, also the inner pad doesn't seem to be in contact with the disc.
I'm thinking a new calliper and fluid, cant understand why the pedal would do that though as i haven't had any of the lines off, nor have i lost any fluid from the res.
Absolutely. I did some silverstone sessions at trax this year, and the track was like ice, it was wet after the touring cars, and i kid you not no-one overtook me. My little 1.8 loved it, spinning in 3rd and forth, but she still got round quicker than some 4wd stuff. Wish I had took some in car video.
The MX-3 chassis is excellent, it does imbarress some epensive stuff. The trouble is, I go all out as ive leant my car, and it is worth next to nothing, i cannot see the point in having a 40k porcshe and driving like a girl.
It is such a cheap track car to run, dependable, very light on tyres and is good on insurance at £170 a year!
@49127be8f7=ukmx3admin:
Sat nav using GPS is 100% correct on a straight road but not on bends of course.
Also you will have to be travelling on a flat piece of road becasue they dont take into consideration when the incline of the road changes so you could be travelling 70mph up a large hill and it only reads 60mph.
