@1fa9850957=Marco:
Or maybe it's just pissed off with your k8 ecu :lol:
Lol…. that is a strong possibility!! But I have no way of testing that :(
No codes which is bad lol cos that doesnt help me!
Good idea with the aerosol.. I will try that!!
Jono
this is a true story.
this random agency guy was working with me for about a month, then one day we got talking about cars as you do. he was driving an old rover and he said its never leaked oil ! I asked when was the last time he checked it? he said never!!!
so we both checked it that lunch time. it wasn't just low it was non existent, the dipstick was dry and had a bit of rust on it. his sump had a crack as he found out when he filled it with oil. lol
that's why his engine was noisy and didn't leak. he didn't have the liquid gold in it. lol
:D Hi there, have a look at this companies web site for performance
clutches and other parts for your mx3.
http://www.flatlander-ipp.co.uk/phantomgrip/phantomgrip-mazda.shtml
Keep us informed with what clutch you buy and how it performes.
When I fitted mine oh so many years back (first mod I did to my car 5 years ago now, shit I've had this thing a long time) I just pulled the entire air box out and fitted the cone then fitted one of these to the breather pipe

Had no problems since then….None related to the air intake anyway :lol:
Fitting the cone this way is not an ideal solution for a CAI tho. It might be the simplest way of doing it but your pulling in a lot of hot air from the engine bay (not good). You might want to think about investing in some kind of heat shield as well.
Hi Moth, what colour is it? If red would very well be interested in bumpers if in decent nick? Possibly spoiler and wing mirrors also?!?! let me know pal.
Sorry your baby cannot be saved in one piece!
sorry i took so long to reply. i reset the ecu and ran fuel cleaner through and after a 100mls it ran good, but now after approx 500mls the engine is running slower and hesitant again. iam at aloose end as to what it could be. any suggestions?
well u see wot u do is turbo the k8 properly!!! i.e bigger inejctors/fuel pump FPR/ and FMU. then u put the boost up to 6psi to start with and make sure everything is running ok then after a few months u turn the boost up some more. the beauty of a turbo k8 is if the engine does decide to fail on you. you can buy a klde and have already got the turbo setup in your car and we all know 2.5 v6 turbo = win just remember to turn the boost back down to 8psi though 5psi if u buy the klze
Wont be using top speed on the roads, but on the track will deffinatly. The last track day i had entry speeds of over 100mph and then on the exits i was running out of puff.
I gave up worrying about gary boys a long time ago. :lol:
its alive again :D and i didnt replae the dizzy just took it apart and gave it a service! changed the leads and plugs also and fuel filter! oil and oil filter to be done soon but is running propper agian now atleast :D
thanks for all ur help
what are you like with wiring?
seems as you have the back seat up anyway, try putting a wire from the live terminal on the battery to the (what i can remember) thick black and red one one the fuel pump, you should hear the pump whirling, and it should start with the wire connected and when you turn it over, if you don't hear it then it will either be an earth or the pump is dead
which relay did you change? theres one under the dash near the ECU too :wink:
@fd4e6b3414=stevenb:
Is a problemtaic dizzy easy to spot on the V6's?
What are the symptoms that a newbie like should be looking for?
Cheers and good luck with the modification!
look at strange problem k8 topic thtas what symptoms i got! and general fail under load/miss fire!
changing leads and plugs will help for a while but one day ul jus try an boot it an it will spit its dummy out and splutter!
