took the back seats out today.. took me about 5 mins , will be taking the plastics out soon. i also weighed the back seat . it is about 11kg also took the evil space saver ..so total weight saved … 21kg so far .. with about 20 mins work . 15mins spent on those damn plastic clips that hold the carpet on to the back seat.
all this effort but i dont want to get rid of the sub which weighs about 25kg!!!
so nothing gained yet.. lol
If you get it cut to size, what about 2 great big viper stripes 8)
It took 4 hours to get that done with a lot of swearing along the way, i am sure a seasoned pro would do that in a lot less, the roof would be easy as its very flat and no bends like the bonnet, just the edges are the issue, you have to get them spot on, they do peel on bends if theres not enough to stic to so you would have to cut the vinyl about 1mm from the gutter so the edges cannot be lifted but the windscreen rubber can be lifted a little to tuck the front in and you can fold it down under the tailgate.
Was looking at those a couple of weeks back when i had spare moment to search around, ment to pop back and research them a bit more, good find Dj beat me too it lol..
I found these sites a while ago for wind deflectors.
Still don't get to see a pic of them though :(

They do a bit but I can assure you they are the standard mazda issue for this model, I painted them bronze for japfest and the colours don't go so I do not know which way to go next, whether to go white with turquoise rim tape or a champagne gold
i did like the gold mate but here's a suggestion, why not go white with a polished rim, imo mint…
Just get some black altezzas, you know you want to…
I've used Checkpoint Tint spray before and it was really hard to get a good job and by the time I had enough on so it looked nice it was deffo not legal.

before
after.
use chrome lamps to keep that clear look.

LED side light bulbs really make them white at night and look nice if you have gone over to xenon bulbs too, they are about £3.50 a pair if you shop around
is it the dash part behind it wich is different to locate the extra switches into??!! as the cowling in front looks like you could just bore out two extra holes either side for the switches…
little black mx has poped up on ebay with a very nice tan leather, very alfa ish!.
im still 50/50 if i like it.
car is only 20 mins from me.

They all say its too expensive and all the rest of it.
Why not cut a mx3 bootlid, and fill it with the FD hatch?
so you've got the outline, doesnt seem like too much work, just a welding sesh!

hard to tell from pics. I reckon the trick for nice lighting is hiding the actual emitter, so the source is not visible and soft diffusion of the light.
Defo.
If you look at the new minis, they have colour changing lights in the cockpit that have all the sources hidden, and just shine up the interior.
Not very bright, but looks very cool!
would suppose it would depend on how long its left on for, I want a quick solution so i can crack on and get em coloured, and i am not removing the tyres so it will be a masking and newspaper jobby :D
the "wrap around thing" (with the light wrapping around the reverse light) is on all US and Canadian mx-3 tail-lights.
I suppose you could take apart your Euro lights and take out the dividers that make them square but I think it would be easier to just get a stock set from over here.
Before I moved to Portland I had 6 spare sets of taillights and I ended up throwing them away… sigh I'm sure you could post a WTB on the mx-3.com site and somebody should have them for cheap... although shipping might be a little since they aren't small.
One thing to keep in mind is that the US/CA spec are meant to have all 4 lit for parking lights and all 4 lit for brake lights. We don't have laws requiring rear fog lamps so you may want to check into it before making your car "illegal". Also dual fog lamps may be illegal as well... I believe some countries allow you to only have 1 behind the driver.
