yeh going to get some rear ones was on about teh indicator and side light covers on teh front bumper i sin some black smoked ones osomewhere and i cant remember but i want some lol!

with the toqure. there may be a sticker on your bonnet. to tell you order to tighten and the torque. mine has.

changed the screen over, the new one almost broke the same way. I'm going to have to cut into the dash a little bit , as the motor for the screen is wearing itself out trying to open all the way against the top of the dash. if I shave a bit of plastic of it should be grand 1 or 2 mm should do it.
@ Stephen-mx3 , I dont think he lives in halfrauds, but I'm sure he spends alot of time there :lol:
it's not that difficult but like mechanic said, patience is key… it's best if you have a backup set of dials in case you mess yours up... I don't want to tell you to do something then you break it! lol know your skill level and if you get halfway in and feel like you are going to break something just stop! this project is fragile!

i almost walked out the door to do it but forgot that at the mo im mx3-less!
i sold the car as a write off, the guy has a few contacts that can help him fix it up. I was happy though as he had the same look on his face as i did when i bought it!
with my front i used mesh to give a backing plate. followed by layers of filler and wire wool strands for strength. did not finish her as i would of wanted by using matting for the final with very fine filler to smooth out.
i have also been told that it is possible to fill large gaps with the house insulating foam filler that is used to block around pipes in walls then fibreglass over the top of that but dont quote me on that one as not seen it to give my view on it.
the fella on her from america does all his own body work he may be able to give his advice.

why make cars to look like other cars etc converting mx3 to look like a lesser underpowered car!!! fair play they do look good but not my thing.
but following that not considering honda at moment. defo thinking off nissan 200sx. as getting another m3 and doing the engine conversion will not be good for me as i need a car everyday. so could not be with out one.
so standard nissan 200sx and play around with install means i can still drive.
How did you manage to get your front air diffuser ( the one that sits over the top of your rad ) to fit with the bulge in the bonnet ?
I made one out of ally but the bonnet hit it.
i got rear ended in may, the bumper got a big dent and thought it would push out but it wont. last year i was at a scrappy for a mate at work ond they had a couple of 3s with the jap rear, should have got one! might have a look this week.
theres none of the splitters on ebay anywhere!

The best I can describe it is I need the measurement between the 2 inside edges of the bumper irons - I know the nearside iron is in the correct position.
yeah not many options when it comes to tail lights:
paint turnsignals/reverse lights all red
lexus/altezza style in black, chrome or fake CF
paint lexus style all red (ghost altezzas)
take apart a lexus set and custom make them to look 3-d like a ferrari
mold in some other type of taillights from another car
