Ok, in preperation for the Gulfy special rocker cover coming back,
Ive been investing in some more pretty colours, lol
namely these anodised bolts, they are M6 x 45 x 1mm pitch and are £4
for six off this seller s_f_b_218iopg on ebay.
and matching washers at £3 for six off the same seller.also been playing around with the idea of a stainless steel fusebox cover,
mock up in cardboard.
-
Well, Ive just blown the clutch money, but I think its worth it :D
Coming monday! 15 x 8 ET15 deep dish alloys.
-
Wow!!! Love the Rims!!!
What ya doin about the Manifold Cover??? Will look a bit outta place with all the rest in Bling!!!
-
Agreed yeah I will have to try and make a stainless steel one of those, when the Turbo comes along
might rip it of soon or replace it with another standard one, as that one has been eaten lower down!!!
-
sexy rims! i want them :)
-
They are well cheap for an 8inch deep dish rim! be interesting to see how much they weigh :)
-
Little bit more engine pimpage today, by way of this spiral hose wrap.
Found this stuff from a scubadiving supply shop.
and this one is UV reactive and comes from a PC modding website.
Made a mistake with the rocker cover bolt size, it should be M6 x 40, not 45, as the original bolts are 45 but a have the last 5mm machined off into a peg, I didnt really want to have to do that to a 45 bolt, so I found the 40's cheap enough from this seller beauty*max , they were £8 for 12.

Received my newly painter rocker cover from Paul (mx3gulf)
this morning, more than impressed with his great work on this, and tbh I wasnt expecting anything else :D Thanks!Wil have to wait a week or so to fit it as I promised myself a little break
from any work 8)

WOW thats is gorgeous!
Good colour choice and nice work gulfy!
-
that looks the nuts :D
-
Looks great. Can't wait to see it on.
Ps I started my "youdirtyfox" style bumper today. Doing well so far. Just struggling to get a good finish on the the body filler in the top vent though.
-
I left that final fill for the bodyshop to sort out as I just dont have the patience for it.
-
Couldnt resist a cheeky peak this afternoon.
-
they are gonna look the DB's when they are on :D lush rims
-
Very nice wheels!
-
They dont weigh as much as I thought they might! One 3SDM Dare deep dish alloy is 7.5kg.

Major expansion pipe failure today on the way back from Kent, leaving
us stranded 10 miles from home! as the temp shot up to the top of the guage I pulled over straight away (thought I had heard a pop, lol) Had to phone the mother-in-law to come pick us up and take us home, so I could get another piece of hose and some clips and go back in the wifes car to fix 'er up again> had tried to bodge it back together with a biro and some fingers of a latex glove tied together, but it didnt hold.
Neeedless to say the hose is not suitable for a cooling system, replaced with some pukka black coolant hose now…
