Sam's Proper MX-3 - LT Turbo project *Parting out*
-
Factory shutdown! so Im on Holiday now!! :D 8)
Cant finish the tank now though :(
Needed to do a bit of sussing out anyways…
thinking clear filler hose or see through green hose
would look quite mental.
Slim line 12" rad fan on order, to make even more room, lol
Been checking how straight I can get this boost piping, less
bends the better as they generate more heat…
be back soon with full rad install :)
-
Drooling dude, sooo shiny 8) 8)
-
CHeers Bro, she's still the garnet paper & autosol treatment
to go, so it will get more shiny bling bling. 8)
-
Welcomed in a new addition today
Mr Sharp shooter is along for the ride!
-

-
Rear wiper deleted now also.
-
nice what did you bung the whole with as im thinking of doing the same on wes
-
I kept the original rubber washer in there and shoved
in a little barbed end cap like the ones you get off tubular
flatpack computer desk's etc.Tbh I need to find something better as it looks a bit button
like from some angles, once I found a better grommet will
let you know.
-
Glue a red golf ball on it
-
is that a new Japenese car fashion gimmick that Im unaware off…
...or is it a gag ball reference? :lol:Could use the hole for the aerial for when I remove the roof one
-
behold, more shinyness! radiator cap from a Capri  :D
back to work tommorow so I can get this all welded up
few more bespoke bits to make, then I can hopefully
fit this up next weekend :D
-
so is this to replace the coolant reserve tank and make more space for turboage?
-
yeah basically the MX3 rad. has a pressure cap/filler on the side
the new rad Im fitting doesnt, so I had to incorparate a pressure
cap and filler hose (being 'T' into the top rad hose) into this header tank, you could of course use a header tank of another car that had
the right pipe/dimensions etc.The new smaller width radiator should allow for the boost pipes to go
past it easily, instead of having the pipes going round the houses to
reach the intercooler infront of the radiator.
-
had to cut this tank down alot so the bottom filler
was higher then the top radiator hose.
speaking of wich, going to replace the top rubber hose with this
full stainless steel item wich ive been working on.
plenty more to come folks  :D
-
LOOKING GOOD AS ALWAYS
-
its got to work good too … :)
-
Thats the colour scheme sorted! :D
-
i love it, gonna look sweeet!
-
Really wasnt sure at first concept, but my creative jiuces are flowing like this lovely Stella right now. :D
-
one of the last peices in the jigsaw turned up this morning!
I paid £9 delivered for that alloy elbow from Xenon.biz off ebay
wich is crimianlly cheap for one of them :D
just need to weld and tap a union on there for the blue hose tail
