Clutches

Looking at installing a new clutch in the ZE while its all apart
looking for a good recommendation or tried and tested, im thinking of getting a borg & beck clutch kit as they seem pretty established but every tuning shop I go to they only seem to sell panther clutches that I cannot find any history about online and they start at £50 for a kit

Depends if you want uprated? or stock replacement..You get what you pay for when it comes to clutches! B&B is like a motor factor clutch I'm guessing?£50 panther who has heard of them?! no one probably not up to want you want then.
Don't exedy do one for your engine? That would/should be OE spec atleast.

Im struggling to find any decent brand names, borg and beck I know of but theres not much choice out there, LuK have been around a while and theres one out there for the mx-6, just OEM at the mo coz £350 for a uprated clutch is a little out of my reach currently

KLGE is all I can find from Exedy right now http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXEDY-CLUTCH-KIT-MAZDA-MX-6-2-5-KL-GE-SPORTS-91-94-/300827953399?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item460abe48f7
But I'm sure the yanks run them in there KL's! Luk is another motor factor jobbie, wouldn't personally fit anything cheaper then OE replacement like exedy.

I've got clutchmasters clutch and its brilliant , feels like oem, never slipped and never juddered. Still holding strong despite my love of clutch kicking understeer!.

I liked my ACT 6 puck with standard Exedy pressure plate. Took the abuse well with the DE turbo to 290bhp.

Thanks fella's I will have a look at the old clutch to see what thats like and probably go with the borg & beck kit as they are an old established company and very good value for money at £105 and LuK isnt much more :bigok:
