REALLY NEED HELP

Can someone tell me if there is anyway this sump will fit my 1998 1.6 16v DOHC please?
The garage just called me saying they didn't want to take the risk taking the old one off if it didn't.
I need an answer asap so I can ring back and tell them yey or neigh.

It was said to be for an MX3 (EC) 1.6

The part code I have for the MX-3 is B6BF10400A for the OE part.

I kinda knew it wasn't gonna fit after the garage rang me so they're now sourcing me one from Mazda which, seeing as a piece of rubber piping cost me nearly £60 will probably mean I should lube up my backside :shock:

i've just baught one from ford probe store and they said its gunna be a few weeks as they're out of stock. I'm just putting a little tub under it wherever i park and using my bike as much as possible.

Ive used silicone sealant to seal a big hole in my friends primera sump, lasted for about 2 weeks of her hammering the engine before it popped, probably didnt help that I didnt prep the surface, just wiped the oil away with toilet roll and applied. Would think thatd be enough to get you to all stars at the very least so long as you took it easy

This is the ideal way to scilicone a sump
Drop the oil first. (really let it all drain out)
Clean sump with brake cleaner.
Put a short fat self tapping screw in the hole, then clean / dry off with brake cleaner again. (the brake cleaner will actually dry it off as it evaporates really quickly) Put scilicone around the head of the screw before you put it in too.
Then cover sump with good quality automotive scilicone. (not household stuff). Cover the whole underside of the sump.
Let it go off for 24 hrs before you fill it with oil.
Seen them last years done like this.
