If you're serious about the swap it might work out cheaper and simpler to buy a v6 mx-3 and drop in a ZE. I sourced a ZE though Nippon Spares for £700 including delivery and MS8 IM and various other bits.
Have you got a stock naturally aspirated 1.5?
If so I don't see you getting a 25 bhp gain from it.
Probably best to spend your money elsewhere, but it would sound much better. :D
Breathing mods work best with other mods that increase fuelling, like CAMS etc, helping you get the most out of them.
lol, i finjk u gt the wrong end of the stick, on the rear there is a bit of metal that drops down near the exhaust were mine was it fouled lightly to we just trimmed it slightly to fit.
nout dangerous about that
Possibly, but speaking as someone who fell for the hype a few years back I can categorically say without a shadow of a doubt these things dont work. I wish they did because i could do with a few extra MPG from my tank :(
found a few more now, looked on mx-3.com says to ground:
Alternator
Distributer
Head
Block
Intake Manifold
Gearbox
there are some more i think but cant remember them
what is the port! i hear ppl talking about it but i dont knwo what it is?
hey wana see a cool car look up the mazda AZ-1 they are cool 660cc turbo and iv seen plenty done up for track and they have gullwind doors and all!
Id post what i posted on another site….but i cant find it :(
basically in the description it talks about collapsing inlet manifold pressure, so theres more fuel than air, but in order to collapse the inlet pressure it would need a free air supply, so would suck air in through this feed to collapse the pressure, but really its just sucking in air via a different hole, so its getting less air as theres less pressure, so theres the same fuel, but less air, but the air coming in that collapses the pressure basically would equal it out as that air eventually goes down the same route into cylinders :?
are you after lamder(sp)? sensor wiring?? might be four or 3 wires with a multi plug at the end. just a guess tho thats how it is on my b6 i would think its the same.
james samco makes universal flex hoses that are high grade, look great and you can modify to fit. that is what i'm ordering for my car since i did a bp swap and i'm using a nissan alluminum radiator that way I can route the coolant however I need. it comes in 3 meter long sections i think.
http://www.samcosport.com/ go here then click on what part of the world you are in and then you can go to distributors to find out who sells what you need
you can put stock miata cams into an mx-3. but you won't like the results cause you have to swap the exhuast side to the intake and vise versa. after market miata cams are what you want, or you could regrind the stock miata cams to what ever spec you want
or you could stick with a b6 engine since it is the same engine as the miata and make some sick power with a lighter engine. i've seen 1.6L miatas and mx-3 pushing over 300 hp
a bp swap is great but look into miata parts and miata forums for some cheap and easy upgrades to your engines
