Tricky find
-
I am looking for the workshop manual and the parts manual for the mx3 1.6 DOHC. All the links that I've found here are down (really sad) and the manuals on the internet are mostly for the V6 model.
Any help will be apreciated (I am willing to pay if needed).
Thanks in advance.

I thought I had find the holy grail in this page https://www.downloadworkshopmanuals.com/.
The description about the workshop manual they have for sale says that the manual is for all engines. Sadly it is not true and it's the same that it's all over the internet that lacks information about the B6 engine.
-
I will check what I have.
-
Sadly I only have the k8 side of the manual. The 1.6 is a BP variant so maybe mk1 mx5 and 1.6 323f manuals would give you some of the information you require.
-
@mazdax3 thanks, I will look for those :)
-
Hi Scottex,
Have you checked out the manuals on mx-3.com? http://www.mx-3.com/manuals/index.php
Jono

Actually, just looked there myself and it's all missing... that's a real shame!
-
@jono yeah, almost all hosted info is missing, also almost all images on forums about mx3 is also lost :(

This manual is available from the US: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chilton-46802-Repair-Manual-Mazda-323-MX-3-626-MX-6-Millenia-Protege/202861549692?epid=110017134
I have this manual and it covers all of the engine types.
Future reference, for when that link expires: Chilton 46802 - Mazda 323/MX-3/626/MX-6/MILLENIA/PROTEGE 1990-98 Repair Manual

@jono I found this on Amazon too. Just as I was about to purchase it I read on the comments that the information that it contains is very basic and I decided to do a little more research.
I found this on ebay https://www.ebay.es/itm/254581645925?ul_noapp=true and seems to be the full 1995 manual.
I am going to see if the manuals recomended by @MazdaX3 contain the info that I need and if not I will purchase that big ass binder haha

@scottex
I have the Chilton one I listed there, it's an american style Haynes manual. I think it covers most stuff your likely to need, has detailed wiring etc. And I've used mine for my full engine rebuild as well as other stuff. The mx-3.com forum, and here, have plenty of other info, just a shame about the pictures but that's unavoidable.
If you search for "Chilton 46802" on ebay, there are loads of those manuals cheaper, all from the USA so might need to pay some shipping, and you have to accept a few things will be the wrong side etc, but I'd be lost without mine.
Isn't that binder going to be in Spanish? lol But it's cheap enough, it's probably worth getting that!

@jono well I will look into it and compare prices (the manual I linked costs me about 40€). The full manual I linked is in english, it's just my ebay that's in spanish (and me) :D
Thanks for the help guys, if I finally buy the binder I'll see about scanning the missing parts and uploading it.
-
@MazdaX3 @jono seems like the cheapest option (about 25€) is the Chiltons book. But I still think that the bigass binder is the better option (40€). What do you guys think?
-
@Scottex That's what I have. I printed off the v6 side of it, obviously at my mother's house.... 6 days later and some very angry phone calls and it was done 🤣 €40 is a bit steep for something that is essentially a pdf file
-
Actually disregard that, I just see how much they are going for. Yeah it's a good deal but still try and fully search the Web for a free download before you buy one, it'll still be on a forum somewhere.
-
I finally opted for the binder manual. Now let's see how much time it takes to arrive from the USA to Spain :(
