Rev monster

what would the best set up be for a high reving na tuned klze/de..
im thinking
kent cams fully race spec
high compression… skim heads or diferent pistons etc
loads of head work!
any ideas ?

Balance crank, lighter flywheel, race cams, free flow induction and exhaust.
TBH they rev pretty well, did you want higher rpm or just faster revving?
…..

Fidanza/aasco flywheel
ITBs
External oil pump
Interprep/ferrea valve springs
AlphaN based engine managementCheck out leo323 on mx-3 and probetalk…ridiculous!
-
Throttle bodies , ally flywheel and pullies , nice un-restrictive exhaust and Megasquirt - thats the combination I use , and it pull's hard to the self-imposed 8000 rpm limit (the K8 I ran with this setup made peak power at 7300 ! )

Is megasquirt easy to set up?? thinking about ways to tune car and get some more horses, thinking about supercharging, but need a cheap ecu system, I know megasquirt is one of the cheapest, but I am a bit thick when it comes to computers!! People I have spoke to in the past who have megasquirt say its easy but never share the knowledge!!

hi
i do tuning at uni megasquirt is absolute sh*t, go for omex or pectal

Um…........just what sort of Omex or Pectal system can you get for around £300 ?
Megasquirt is not a hard as some say - I wired the last V6 install in an evening , and I hate electrics  - the other ECU's were way out of my price range as I wanted to bin the dizzy (which I believe you cant do with Omex)
If your not afraid to learn , Megasquirt is fine .Claire .

Megasquirt is incredibly popular for our cars/engines. There's guys have ran 500whp on their KLs with it. It's as good as the tuner really. Yes there's better, but for the price its really very good.
It's not THAT hard IMO. My processor was defect, but the actual setup was alright, even for a complete noob like me. I'll do a guide when I get mine running sweet with coilpacks.

oops 300…the pectal 6 we are using for a e36 m3 is about £2k, it can have two inputs like water injection and is far more advanceed the omex which is pretty dam good. i guess megasquirt is good bang for buk, for people who want to learn and isnt too bad for and entry level ecu...
if your intrested in ecu stuff i would recommend torque of the devil who are pretty good, mates got a 2.1 rs turbo fiesta tuned by them and they done a really good job
-
seen a ze on you tube with ITBs reving just over 10,000 rpm
-
Yea Leo323s is amazing! He's running external oil pump and build engine.

Thats where I took gulf to get rolling roaded, very friendly and helpful, we talked about omex ECU's, need an omex 710 for 6 cylinder engines, quoted £1700 + VAT, ouch  perhaps one day
-
 fk that! You could have a built/forged engine for that! I think it'd be one of the most expensive HP/£ investments possible. You can do water injection with MS too, I'm just too tight for that omex lark
