DILLIGAF?: Project Ratty
-
I think it's time. I think I've drank enough to show you the regression of project Ratty so far. Ratting is not done over night, it takes time for a good Rat to mature, but little things can be done over night after a few beers and some daft ideas and an active paypal account…...
So here it goes.
First of all it was easy, stickers are cheap and readily available:
This is both apt for me and the car
Now time to get a theme going on using hazard tape (seriously will not miss this car coming or going!)
even from above!!!!
And I decided to give it some angry eyes!
Relocation of the number plate
And I repaired my rear light
Now here comes what you may think a sore point.
I did this on Wednesday, salted it, erm, p1ssed on it and over night it did this! So, just a little warning to you all, don't strip the paint off, put salt on it and then wee on it!
Plans are. Rust the crap outta my spare bonnet on request of jay1987, slam it and get some steelies, possibly more hazard tape (I'm tempted to do the full passenger door in it or paint it matt black) and where the tape splits the car I'm gonna spray flame red so it's twoish tone.
Engine wise (if it survives?) make it bling like a true Rat!
Interior, stripped with luxuriousness (already got quite a lot of leather and cabon wrap going on anyway).Enjoy the f*cked up fun of it, it doesn't hurt any of you.

I went out this morning to a Jap meet, erm, seems they must have forgotten to put the clocks forward as the 3 cars that turned up, there was no-one else. It was worth the drive over though for the looks I was getting, someone even nearly ditched their new Ibiza on a straight road because of it, gotta love that!

To be totally honest with you, out of ALL the things you've done, this is DEFINITELY my favourite part :D

Epic Hoodride mx-3 FTW!
I love opening this thread

Won't be with us much longer peeps :( unless someone wants to take it on and either continue the ratting or restore it.
Spoke to the missus today on my break and she is getting made a Director of the company and will be getting a company car (I've said for her to get a Swift or something similar-No, not a Mazda!) which means her car will be usable for me, you may have seen it in the other projects section.
Puegeot 206 Quiksilver.
I don't care that it's French, it's been far more reliable than the MX3 and costs far less to tax, insure and run and aftermarket parts are easily available.
We don't know when she'll be getting the new car so I'll have to keep the 3 for a while but sure as sure can be I won't be driving it for much longer.

I want that one!:
-
Get yourself on ebay bud loads of them on there
-
minus a one from that 206 , and you will have yourself
some real motoring fun again  :D 8)

I'm backing up all my old searches and wondering about putting my 17's (multi fit, so should go) on it, but I'd have to do them a different colour (white on silver, no no).
I will miss the Mazda but as you guys know I've had an absolute love/hate relationship recently and it is no longer deeming a financial suitability, especially in this rising economic climate

Just found an epic picture of how it should be done when I have the 206 back in my grubby little paws

rats look good with a crazy drop( cut springs) and widen steelys…just a thought :)
Way ahead of you bud, I've been into the Rat scene since 2008 so I know the score, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a decent set of steelies for this thing at the moment though!
you're not trying hard enough:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2008-Toyota-Yaris-Steel-Wheel-Tyre-/330543618323
Same PCD, same bore, 15x5.5J, ET39. Fit straight on. Set of 205/55R15s will look nice and fat on them and is inside the tyre spec for rim size.
Snap to it!

The Bonrat is under way, it's not being as easy as I anticipated to be honest though, as well as the factory paint, I had done a couple of coats of matt black (with primer) and then a couple of coats of satin black(also with primer).
So, here's how it is looking right now
I actually quite like it.
I'm preparing for a photoshoot on the weekend involving fire
