multi colour car FTW!
Beautiful ain't it  I should get a passenger wing in blue and bumpers in some other MX3 colours
I could become a swatch for the MX3, "available in all these colours"
Or possibly until I get a respray I could do the rising sun on the wing

Hmm, keep watching over the next few months people, somethings happening, something funny and strange and weird (what would you expect from old Stalky eh?).
-
Oi mate, what's that front splitter from..?
-
Seat Leon Cupra
Eunos bud.

Took some time to attack one of the wheels, readying it for refurbishing and a new colour.
I am lucky to have 5 of these wheels so decided if I don't like what I'm going to do then at least the other 4 can stay as they are, this particular wheel was silver whereas the others are anthracite, so it would have been getting attacked anyway.
-
So then, erm

bonnet looks in good condition

It is bud, only a few marks and a little dint on it but spot on for a tenner :D

Okay, these next set of pictures are for you DJMarco.
Wheels all primed up and ready for…..
Yup, white, not just your run of the mill white, but satin white (yes, that is going to be fun to keep clean isn't it  )
Overspray is not an issue as the tyres need replacing anyway :)
-
I like it, been contemplating making my standard 5 spokes satin white

Do it, then you can let me know how easy they are to clean the brake dust off

Still not 100% sure, need to do some photoshopping I reckon, think normal aersol paint would come off if you used a pressure washer, scrubbing or harsh cleaners, so Id be getting them powder coated, place just down the road does it for £50 a wheel
-
just a tip for if you take your wheels to a tyre fitter and get all the tyres removed and the wheel waights then do the referb them 1 it will be dead easy to do and wont leave any marks where the wheel weights were then it will be a realy neat job i found this out the hard way lol also with the tyre of you will be able to file the kerb marks out then they will look brand new
great colour will look the nuts when finished great work too

if you put a good base coat on first then 1 can a paint per wheel you will be fine this is what i did with my black v6 wheel i even put a acid wheel cleaner on for the bad break dust and the pain never came off this would be the cheapest way i think i did all my wheels for about £30 tops

Not true. On my civic (RIP  ) I had the wheels numerous amounts of colours and they were fine. For these I have actually used enamel radiator spray paint so should be good for a little bit of heat.

Yup, this is just a test really (and to get me back on my spraying game-been a bit lack lustre with it recently). I'm gonna get all the tyres removed sometime soon (keep 2 of the tyres and possibly sell the others as drift tyres) and give them a good cracking.
The paint has settled now and it looks fully awesome, I'm well impressed with the paint as I had my doubts (it is Wilkinsons paint!).

radiator enamel should be tough enough, that stuff will only just come off with nitromors
-
I used radiator enamel on mine, was fantastic just need to get it lacquered as the brake dust can discolour it I found

Yeah, I think it will definitely need to be lacquered, will probably lose the satin finish but easier than having to spray the wheels every week
