DILLIGAF?: Project Ratty

  • @e638ee5cfe=Famine:

**Bert's caused us a couple of headaches today - both the passenger side springs were an absolute piece of piss to fit, probably not even taking up 30 minutes each. The driver's side front snapped one of the two lower bolts, giving us 90 minutes of problems until Marvin donated one of his and the driver's side rear we didn't finish because one of the two lower bolts cheesed up and rounded off - we're going to cut it off tomorrow and replace it with another spare from Marvin.

In the meantime, look out for a tripod MX-3 **

Bert's starting to settle :D It looks good for not having to modify the yard too to get in and out :)

Yes, as you said it was a complete epic fail on the driver side but I believe we handled it quite well, there were no strops or expletives (much  ).
We'll crack on tomorrow and I'll bring some beer (what's your poison Fam?) and a fresh grinding disc

Oh, and on another thought, a modified Del Sol boot lid could work

  • Proof we didn't stand around all day drinking coffee

It has lowered a little but after a few weeks I'm sure it will be far more noticeable although Famine did say she was a little close to scraping the splitter as I came off the driveway

  • **I was marginally concerned you hadn't been online yet  I can just see that MX-delSol now :D Certainly unique at any rate.

I'm partial to Theakston's Old Peculier, Wychwood Hobgoblin and Wells Banana Bread. This house is rarely without a bottle of at least one :D

To think, we were just one bolt away from a complete win. It'll all be good tomorrow…**

Too true. I had to turn back and help the missus out at her Grand dads putting his new freezer in, which was great as his street is cobbled and let me feel every cringe worthy knock (I definitely need to get the front end looked at and sorted soon I think  ).

  • im sure i've see a 3 with a del sol boot lid on an american 3, sure its in a slide show on youtube.

Needs a BGW also and to be silver(ish) and black and to lose the gay bodykit and it would look awwwwwesome. I think I may need to change the thread title again….........

  • **Woohoo! Fixed!

    cries in pain**

  • Cut the boot make it a pick up Tidy! lol

Cut the boot make it a pick up Tidy! lol

I had actually considered getting a third MX-3, ZEing it and converting it to a pick up as a tow/support vehicle for Marvin. The sheer ridiculousness of it appeals to me on very many levels - particularly as you could unload it and probably hang with Marvin around most tracks and up the strip

  • Finally sorted. I've just been cleaning the car of all the greasy dirty hand prints. Get ready for some action shots  (and some rather worrying shots).

a rather distressed looking bolt about to be given some rough treatment

Believe it or not, it still was holding on and not about to give up at this point!

    Until it looked like this

And with the strut removed this is what was found! HOw this got through an MOT check I'll never know.

A massive thanks to Famine, now relax and enjoy your well deserved beers

Something I have noticed is a annoying noise has disappeared. I have a feeling it could have been the rather rotten spring we removed causing the problem.

  • looks realy well now lower fella good work

Doesn't look much different to me at the moment if I'm honest.

  • Still got that hard disc cutter?!

  • Look, I did a very crude photoshop of Bert as a Pick up

FCUK Right Off…...:) Don't tempt me.

  • All you need is a sheep dog in the back

  • Ghetto Fabulous modding

You can stick your K&N's, Pipercross and unbranded air filters and induction kits, I've gone old skool on this puppy taking one standard airbox and removing, then taking one drill and drilling the crap out of the bottom of said filter.

    Awesome sound
