@19635fb3f9=youdirtyfox:
Bodyshop painter is now saying no to painting a rocker cover!!! Going to have be powder coated.
What colour do you want? Post it to me I'll paint it for you cheap
-
bubblegum pink same as the air filter, I take it that painting it is ok? what with the heat issues.
-
I've painted rocker covers before in 2k paint, never had any complaints so I personally don't think there are any issues with heat. When do you want it done as I am going on holiday tomorrow so I can't do anything for 2 weeks
-
Thats good to know. Couple of weeks time is good for me thanks, have a great time!
-
Thanks, If you go down to a automotive paint supplier and pick a colour that you like, make a note of the code, I will PM you when I get back on the 10th July

Got a bit of spare time before the rad/tank tests,
so today I started work on this.
aluminium power steering fluid tank, same construction
as the header tank. ie two spun end caps, but this time I got to use
2.5" alu pipe as the body as opposed to a rolled band.
-
WOW now that is something I have been looking for
-
Not fully developed and tested so theres no way I could sell them yet,
still need to source a cap and maybe think about some kind of visual
level guage.
-
Dagnammit! pressure tested rad this afternoon showed the small expansion outlet at the top of the rad had cracked and promptly came off! meaning I have to drill it out, tap it and find a suitable hose tail to insert in there, why I didnt notice this before
EDIT> going to use the trusted blue hose tails 5-8mm connector reducer
inserted into the now flattened and drilled out hole in the radiator then chemmical metalled in there. the now 16mm expansion inlet on the header tank will be tapped and a 8mm hose
tail screwed in, wich means more kawasaki green 8mm expansion hose :D

@a0d78305a5=youdirtyfox:
After see your car, I have an idee. Put fenders flares on MX3. I have test on photoshop.
This is the score :Second score :
-
I like it, not sure about the wing mirror repositioning though! are you going to do that for real?
-
Ive also been thinking about those archers but
Too afraid to try it lolLooking good so far Sam your full of ideas
-
where do those arches come from then ? I've done then before on various 205's . first ones where pop riveted on and the second were stuck on using sikaflex . luckily i did.nt. need to cut up any of the metal arch with those . cheers jay still got plenty more to come :-D

Drive in, drive out :-)

-
two and half grand lighter lol . very nice though !
-
-
ow yeash thats better, wonder what width wheel you could squeeze under them puppys!?
EDIT > looking at ROKA's photoshop again (Thanks btw) they look similar to MX5 wide arches?
-
-
I personally wouldnt go any bigger than 16's , 15 x 8 & 0 offset would be preferable
Anyway back to the job in hand, bunged off what I was going to use as the expansion point,
little clue there as to what car make this rad came from.
and used Araldite 2000+ 2014-1
to cement on these brackets.
just waiting on the blue hosetails to fix up rad
and step down header tank with before we can test again,
third time lucky!
-
For the Fenders, you can test with fender for 240 Z or MX5
