What wires do what?

Hi, just got an mx3 and the previous owner kindly made a mess of the cd player and has left me with a mess of wires were it should be so I have to put in a new conector in but which wires are for what? Please help

Well I taken all the crap off an I have what I think are then standard wires left. I've had look at some wiring diagrams but some of the wires don't match I've got the following colour wires
Red/black
White
Green/black
Green/red
Purple
Pink
Grey/black
Blue/White
Blue/orange
Blue/black
Blue/magenta?

8 of those wires are going to be speaker wires, take a quick look in the boot and unscrew ya speaker panels. That will eliminate 4 of the wires also you colud pop the door cards of and see the front speakers colours.
Then you will be left with 3, an earth, ignition live and a positive. Use a mulitimeter and you are sorted. :o

Green To Green
Blue To Bits:lol:

All sorted just hooked up live and other bits then trail and error with the speakers. Happy now, cheers for help
