Ignition problem

can someone please help?
i had to fit another dizzy because my last one went bad since fitting this other dizzy i get a flat spot at 5000rpm til 6000rpm but nowhere else the timing is set at 8 degrees btc. could this cause this kind of problem the car also lacks a bit of pulling power up hills.

If the timing is out, this sounds like a typical fault that can occur…
