So another largish update!
5 stud conversion!
PLUS SSR Type C forged rims 16x7" 30offset and nice and light :D I love them! 12.5lbs / 5.67kgHopefully gain some traction with fatter sidewalls.
Now running the 323f BA v6 slightly larger rotors and the larger pot calipers to matchStill need to:
-get tyres, hope they fit the arches with the little bit extra offset
-replace CV boot demolished
-bolt up the rest of the 5 stud gear on both sides

looking good marco!, there are some very sexy rotas i like but only available in 5 stud!!. What are you doing with old wheels?
The rear brakes look larger ? or is it just the pic?.

Old wheels are on ebay now Garfy. Just the pic unfortunately! Mx3 calipers in the same position.

So this project lives on for now. I had started transferring things out of this car - carpc, coilovers, 5stud, sub, sub wiring etc etc so had to put it all back in after finding out my new purchase was scrap.
Finally the SSR Type Cs are fitted. I need to roll my arches a little, I had to camber out the rear to tuck the tyres under as it is. Some pics from Japfest:

Ah bugger! It would be that date wouldn't it! I'm on a list to go to reallymeansounds.com 10th birthday that day… I would have happily done so. Slightly tempted to defect but RMS looks to be a good one :?

Doing a bit of rust attacking. I hate the stuff so much. Came out ok, paint match could be better, and so could my blending, but it beats bubbly rust :)

Thanks Robbie. Turbos doing fine, ebay turbo has shat itself a little, it doesn't like launch control much! It still boosts fine, just a bit smokey at times. Fuel consumption can be pretty bad if you're boosting alot, off boost though I'm sure I'll still get 33/34mpg maybe higher. The rust bucket has to be left untouched until the whole farce is resolved. Which is really frustrating.
Yep Ryan! Halfords "mix 'n' some what get near the general colour match". The black isn't too bad, but I found the red easier to blend and match. The black did have lacquer factory finish, though mine has seen much better days!
Thanks Garfy :) They're part worns too lol this buying rust heaps caper really cleaned me out! Some ae48s or 888s would be nice, but they are stupidly expensive.
Thanks Daniel, you're looks spot on in your photos! Mine's far from perfect but I prefer it to bubbling 3d orange colour
