Mines gold too… but looks a bit on the piss so always assumed some toe rag must've oiked the original and then this one got slapped on instead... would be interested to know the real reason, whether it's just age or something.. .hmmm, research time!!

Hi, The Gold Badge version is a Sort off Special Edition I think.
I have tried many times to find out what was different about it, but to no avail.
All I managed to find out is that some insurance companies have a different insurance option for the 'Gold Badge' edition and it costs a little extra if you have one. (I found it online when I was renewing my insurance once, in the choose your model section they had a Gold Badge model)
What year is your gold badge? Mines a 1993
If they are all 93's, it could be the last run produced before the OBDII change started appearing in 1994.The circle cap in the center of the alloys is aslo gold, not just the rear badge.

Mines original 91/92 model early J reg so think that throws out the 93 edition idea. Did it really boost the insurance quote? Just for a poncy badge? WTF thats so stupid! Unless… maybe the V6 letters are actually made out of gold... if thats the case, pawn shop then respray me thinks!!!

lovin' the pink… might have to pull my badges off and give them an evil black look... fading red car, gloss black badges, maybe even get the original wheels sprayed up too... in fact just spray the whole car jet black, tint the windows get tinted lights all round... would look pretty damn special... hmm, just need the dollar and it will be done!!! (yeah right - red is best)
Is it really different manifold etc? Had no idea... just assumed was the same as others!
