Mechanic's - Track/Street Project

That would be good to see you there, i was the first MX3 to drive there. Made a prat out of few bigger power cars, to the point were they were sniffing round in the pits only to be embaressed to find out that 130bhp gave them so many problems.
:D

thats some amount of kit, all clever stuff that'll make the most out of the car. if i got some spare cash, thats pretty much exactly the stuff i'd love to get.
do you notice a big difference with the handling etc after the mods?
-
The power is ok, the brakes are unreal and lowering the centre of gravity helps no end.
Its almost got rid of body roll completly. 8)
-
and how is the ride lowered that much?
-
Used to my scooby power just over 300bhp, then i was using my mates M3 ac schnitz tuned that was about 380bhp. Then i had to buy another house and needed the money. So 200bhp is just enough to get to work
The lowering springs another coil removed, so it's nice and slammed with rock hard suspension as the shocks can hardly move, suits the way i drive.
-
i was thinking of a 30mm drop, low but spine crunching low.
the girlfiend would just be moaning
-
wish mine had 30mm drop i have 45mm

My girlfriend moans like hell but not about the car
Have trouble getting onto my drive lol might have to jack it up slighty
-
with my 45s i have troble going over speed bumps

Installed my thermo inlet blocks.. nice and easy to do within one hour.
Notice a slight increase in power, just love the fact the inlet is now so much cooler.
Would suggest getting them of http://www.fordprobestore.co.uk/store/ rather than http://www.outlawengineering.com/

Good stuff. The import duty bandits didn't get mine :D Seems I got lucky!
-
You lucky bugger… :P
-
sounds good. get anywhere wit modding the bonnet to let some of the heat out?
-
No yet feel guilty about cutting holes init. I removed the large rubber strip that sits between the bonnet and firewall. To see if it let more hot air out but all it did is cause the bonnet to vibrate.
I have installed 2 cold air feeds that go from the nearside front up to the cone filter. But these keep scraping the floor under braking lol. Will get a pic up.
