New V6 and new to forum
-
Morning all, great to find this forum. I've bought a 1993 V6 as a project and loving it. MOT failed last week. Dip beam to low and new hand brake cable. I wrestled with the existing right hand cable after freeing the caliper! It is RHD. Would love to hear from other enthusiasts.

Afternoon Franx
Good to see there might be life on here yet. I'm only a 1.6 owner I'm afraid but there is some commonality across the models. Very little activity on here recently but you never know!!

Hey Mav!!
Great to here from you and a fellow owner. There is very little info on the web so hopefully we can grow this site to help one another. They are fab little projects.

Good to see some activity!! I too have the full set 3 volumes, of the Mazda workshop manuals.
Unfortunately my health is failing at the moment while I have collated all the parts for a timing belt and pump replacement, together with an alternator replacement, and full service I am unable to do anything so they remain on the shelf!! Keep spannering!! ðŸ¤

Sorry to hear you have health issues and that you make a recovery soonestI I have had my mx3 for ten years now ,it doesn't go very far ,I did contact my local Mx 5 group who were very friendly and were all over my car at their club night I might join them on a run .Parts are an issue and EBay is a God send for used parts .I have collected various parts over the years as I see them come up .I have got mirrors ,rear and front lights ,ignition coil and distributor ,and an alternator .So if you get stuck I might be able to help

Thanks for that, you never know. I have bought a brand new alternator which is awaiting installation. I bought my MX3 in 2018, in fact I didn't buy it at all, I swapped my 323F for it, as a result of an ankle injury that demanded I switch over to auto!! I have only put around 12000 miles on it in those 8 years so not too bad. I am ready to sell it now when the right offer comes along but happy to let it live out on the street until that happens!! Once I have managed to get the outstanding work done I will probably advertise it but health will dictate the actions!

Hi I originally had the 1.6 auto until a lady rearended me whilst coming over Wroxham bridge ,she was too busy looking at the boats.it was nice car but a write off but wetted my appetite for the 1.8 v6
I came by this one by chance on eBay it was wrongly advertised and at a very low buy it now price..so I bought it ,
Afterwards the seller realised he had made a mistake and wanted to buy it back ,too late the deal was done
What he didn't realise was it's a special addition all leather upholstery and the extras.
I want hang on to it for as long I can but being retired and age creeping up ,I will be sorry to see it go
