Wanted: Replacement Air Filter feederpiping needed
-
Hi
Another new members here, great site, I hope I'm posting this is the right place.
I own an 1993 MX-6 1.8 V6 and was wondering if anyone could help, I need to replace the air filter feeder/piping (unsure of the proper name) that fits to the air filter box itself, the pipe has badly split… I was wondering if anyone knew what I should do. Do I replace with the same stock piping? or should I just buy a filter kit system?
If anyone has this stock part, good money will be paid.
Thanks in advance if you can help

get a cold air intake, it'll look and sound better than the stock one!
(if you want)

Cheers James for letting us know, would you recommend any?

sorry i cant cos ive got a 1.6 not the v6, the one i got from ebay came with s/s piping and silicon couplings, it was about £50 deliverd from USA, but i dont think it fits the v6.

Oh well, thanks anyway mate, will check about on ebay. I still got my 1.6i, I know its a little sad but I cant part with her… plus to be fair I have had less problems with the 1.6 to the V6

I need this too so let me know if you find one.
At the moment I'm thinking scrappy. Worst comes to the worst its about £90 from Mazda and easy self fit.
Mine is currently wrapped up with tape and working nicely!

Christ. I'd take a £2.50 roll of tape over a £90 Mazda part anyday. OEM parts for our cars seem to be priced a bit on the steep side dont ya think?
Just did a quick search (Ebay.com not uk is your best bet, gotta love that $ to £ conversion rate :) ) and it turned up this for £108 shipping included
