Heated wing mirror
-
chaps….are the wing mirrors supposed to be heated?
mine don't!
-
mine aint either but mine is old, perhaps on the newer models but i doubt it. it was mazda's budget sports car lol.
-
god they really did budget with these cars. mines a 97 p, I would have thought heated wing mirrors were the basic of basics! ah well!!
-
haha, ive never had them. even my alfa 156 didnt have them
-
really?? Every car I have ever had has had them, I was well surprised at the lack of fuel gauge warning, adjustable column and heated mirrors!
ah well, its no big deal, its just on my old MX6, it used to clear the frost off a treat!
-
@95ec6b7840=clivvy:
adjustable column
^^ now that one i DO have ;)
yeah my trusty old mondeo used to have a heated windecreen and was brilliant in icy conditions. everyone else out there with a scraper and me? get in and press a button :D
-
must admit heated mirrors would be nice! I just use hot water from the tap to defrost screen and mirrors, never bother with a scraper!
after a look on ebay one seller is claiming a mirror unit that is heated?!
All praise the econo-sport
EDIT > do a retrofit? http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=72398&hilit=heated+mirrors

Yeah if you can find a set of MX-6 power folding ones they usually have the heating element in them you can hook up to your defroster.
-
isnt hot water on a icy screen ment to crack it :?

There is a risk but modern strengthened glass means it doesnt happen as much but its still possible
-
Can be a risk yeah, but I just use warm (not boiling hot) water so its no biggy
-
stick a KLZE in it and you wont ever need to look backwards LOL
-
