What mileage do you get with one tank of fuel?
-
Hmm - I usually fill my car up once it shows empty (gauge on low) - but have no idea how much is left in the tank at that point. I usually fill up around 35 liters - which means the initially mentioned 200 miles are per 35 liters (as I then reset the counter).
-
I don't fill my 1.6 to the brim. Can't afford to. I very rarely put more than £30 in. I reckon i get about 28 - 35 mpg.
-
mine's a stock '98 V6, I dont drive much… but since I got the car in March, I've done 500 miles and have filled up the car 3 times (not all the way to the top) :) not bad :P
-
just ran mine from full to nearly empty and got 200 miles out of it. didnt let it get too low but just under quarter tank. probably had anothrt 50 miles in there

Heres something ive noticed with my Daily driver, let the tyres go below 30 psi and it starts to drink fuel !!. I have the rears running 42psi and the fronts at 36psi, it makes a world of difference. Only downside is tyre noise and wet handling. But i can handle that :D
-
42psi!!!! jesus christ mate let some air out lol. I have mine running at 32psi and i thought that was too much pmsl
-
Lol I think it's actually the manufacture spec for a loaded car. Been running it for about 3 yrs now no probs !!. :)
-
I will try it tomorrow and if they go bang im coming for you pmsl
-
I'm sure it says on here the reserve is very short on these cars from the light coming on to running out and that running out can cause serious issues. The light on mine comes on at 220 and the most i've gotten in it was 38 litres
-
i believe that is correct, i dont like taking it down that far until the light comes on lol. I think its about 7 liters after the light. My old one used to come on bang on quarter of a tank so someone had obviously replaced something, maybe a sender or something that made it come on sooner
-
You guys are lucky! Mine doesn't have a light to tell me I'm getting low. As far as I understand it, 15 miles is the extent of the reserve on the v6's. I've just this weekend got 275 miles out of a tank, mostly motorway, so doing between 30 mph up to 90 mph the whole journey.
-
Yeah no warning light here either. I've taken the needle past the empty line a couple of times now, but only for about 10 miles…
-
lol. i'm hardly ever above the empty line. You can go a long way after it.
-
lol x2 You'd be surprised how far under empty that needle goes.
-
Bonus! :D
