thanks bud, i just checked out your log, didnt realise someone else had done black and red already lol. yours is coming along nicely :)
-
Into them mate, goona rock :D
-
I hope so mate, they are taking me long enough to paint up  will try to finish the other 2 up tonight and the re lacquer them all again. I have put 3 coats on so far but think i will put another one or two coats on. will try and get that exhaust on this week too ;)
-
Coming along nicely sir,
Black and red does work well for a car.
-
it was either red or yellow, i was torn between the two but decided on red. I think yellow might have been a bit too brash with the black on a white car. i may spray the dish up as i dont know if i can be bothered to keep sanding and sanding and sanding…..... i was thinking of some chrome spray but it will turn out silver so maybe a metalic colour of some sort would look good. any suggestions? or just several coats of chrome spray lol
-
I love those rims!!! Red looks GoooooooooooooD! i think the dish in chrome will look 8)
-
chrome spray usually looks wank. I think those deserve to be polished! And don't lacquer the polished lips, it just chips and looks sht after about 5 miles.
-
Defo on the pro polishing, itll be worth it in the end :D
-
ok ok lol, any reccommendations on a good chrome polish that wont cost me the earth. I took a bit more time on the next too wheels and sanded the dish right down (going to try some brasso for a min to take a pic). I used to have some metal polish in a squeezy tube that i used to polish up old stainless backboxes before selling and it was bloody brill but i cant remember what it was called
-
Probably Autosol ? used it to polish my header tank.
-
that would be the stuff!! bloody brilliant thanks, will pick some up tomorrow :)
-
sorry for the delay in replying, was finishing off lacquering the last two wheels ;)
-
paint turned up today. super quick delivery and a massive thanks to gulfy for helping me out and saving me a few quid too :) cant believe it only took one day from the isle of man :D
-
'ISLE OF WIGHT' :D
-
lol close enough pmsl. thanks bud, seriously appreciated. havent even sanded the bumper down yet haha
-
No worries, shame I don't live near as I would have sorted paintwork out for you in a day
-
Rims are on  and bumper has been sprayed (very badly, it got dark and i was using a solar powered light pmsl) will take some pics once i have washed it. I delocked and debadged the boot but i do need to sand it all down and spray it again as there was more filler left on than i thought (again, it was dark) but it looks better than it did.
-
new pics :D
-
love the de badged look, shame there is no simple way to remove that finger grab part below it, i usually just pull up on the spoiler to open the boot anyhow.
