Help needed on klze info

just about to order the emerald ecu but i need to know about the Crank sensor and trigger wheel i.e. if it has one on?
Tyhe other was coilpacks which i have just been told are defo on it.
any advice helpful
-
ok ignore the above but, does anyone happen to know what type of coil paks are in it, amplified or non-amplifeid???
-
Also now i need to know the tooth count for the flywheel?
-
It's a distributor with an internal coil (sheeeite at that)
The crank is 6 toothed, with no missing teeth and a VR sensor (mazda 626 v6 has a 36-1 that fits no mods)
There is no flywheel sensor, so I'm not sure how that's getting utilised.
-
cool so should i upgrade the coil packs? and will the 6 toothed flywheel bo ok or should i upgrade that to the 36:1 for the 626 one, however my ze is out of a 626 if that helps?
bit out of my depth tbh just need answers before i confirm the order.

I'm not clued up on emerald but here is my sketchy view on this:
The 6 toothed trigger wheel (OEM mx-3/mx6/probe etc) has no reference point of when it's at TDC or anything. What people do for megasquirt is:
grind off 1 tooth so it becomes a 6-1 trigger wheel
OR run dual trigger - use the standard 6 tooth trigger wheel PLUS the 180 degree cam sensor in the distributor (of 94-95 cars)OR what I do is use the 36-1 trigger wheel from the US spec 626. So it has one missing tooth letting the MS know when a rev is complete. This will be more accurate than the 6 tooth with one grinded off. The car will start quicker too.
OR you could get a trigger wheel that emerald prefer pressed onto your pulley.
I think emerald should be advising exactly what they prefer. Your car has the 6 toothed standard pulley. The 626 one wouldn't work with your standard/kl31/kl36/k8 ECU.
Regarding coilpacks, I'm not sure what emerald supports. Wasted spark is a cheap upgrade (mondeo/cougar v6 coilpacks work well). Coil on plug puts £££ up a bit and may be excessive for your goals.

excellent thanks, i will give all that a good going over and see what i come up with, i think emerald will be back in touch tomorrow with adviseries but just wanted to know a bit more about it before i speak with them again.
looks like i might not have to change anything, as i think they will run dual trigger using the standard 6 tooth trigger wheel with the 180 degree cam sensor in the distributor (although im sure my ze is a 92') as cam sensors were mentioned, also, the flywheel doesnt have to be changed but would be more accurate if it was the 626 becuase of more pins?
Does it sound like i understand or did that not make any sense lol.

Yea lol but why this talk of flywheels? Are they going to mount a sensor in your bell housing? As we don't have one there standard.
The distributor matches your ECU year not your engine year. If you're running dual trigger the standard crank pulley and cam sensor should be adequate. I ran that way for a while, I just wanted to get rid of the half a distributor I had left purely for the sensor.

well that i defo dont understand as they said they would remove the dizzy and connect straight into the coil packs?

think marco has covered all the bases, if you ebay search Ford EDIS6 this is the usual coilpacks that id expect they would use as its easy to get hold of, the 626 prob would take bit of time/ bit more money.

cheers looking now
