Sound proofing or at least helping.

alot of carpet underlay will give 20 to 40Db sound reduction.
isnt there a fella on .com who painted rubber deadening solution
under his carpets?

If you want quieter road noise then start at the tyres first
-
I rarely have music on so all I hear is the road :(
It's almost coving the V6 sound, so I'm looking at ways of removing the road and bringing back the reason I own the car :)

Whats that rubber stuff then? Never heard of anything but foam for sound deadening, do you know if it works? More info?
-
I think the rubber carpet underlay is for wooden floors
as opposed to foam for concrete floors. One of the best sound deadening materials seems to be made
from old car tyres?!lolEither way I have bought from tradepriced before and they are
super cheap compared to alot of places :)I want my mazda as quiet as a benz now 8)

car tyres? I bet thatll do wonders for your vehicle weight, fit that throughout and you wont need to worry about buying lowered springs lol
