HLA tappets

ops. did not notice 6th months ago. lol.
however as im getting the steam seals done. what can be done to the tappets at the same time to stop the sound. i know the bloke says he will re-grinde something in but cannot remember what excatly.

HLA Lash valve or somat check Mada store as the parts on there to replace

Well, how much is the labour cost/your time to install them? As if this is a significant amount, I'd put new ones in to be sure of getting the longest life out of them!

well i'm getting engine stripped down and new steam seals. tappets sorted. decoked etc. around 200 mark now.

Given your doing all that I'd get new ones.
Imagine how annoyed you'd be if they failed a month after fitting them!

hummm £15 each so that 24!!!!
but saying that the bloke was top fitter at mazda for a good number of years so he knows his stuff
