Rewind Brake caliper
-
Never fiddled with an MX3 brakes before and wondered if I really need to buy a specialist tool to rewind the calipers and if I do where I can get my hands on a cheap tool.
Let me know.

Hiya Ben, you do need to wind the piston back in when doing the pads, its a bitch without the proper tool, believe me I have tried
The cheapest set I can find is £31.99 all in and then you get to do your own brakes for the rest of your life, saving ££££'s in the future too

Cheers.

I know what you mean, that they just push in but MX's have wind out pistons with a kind of ratchet, as the pads wear down the thread on the piston winds out a little more so the pedals dont travel to the floor when braking.

Yeah thats non windback pistons, if you find yourself trying to get that type of piston out, let me know, got a full kit for doing just that job, £120, worth every penny, wouldnt believe the time and effort its saved, will be getting the windback set when it comes time to do the mx3, worth the money, you only need to do it twice and then your saving money, not to mention the extra few quid you can get doing jobs for mates with it.
