Whats under the bonnet badge?
-
@590d81bd4d=mx3gulf:
Hot air gun, then use a plastic filling spreader to prise it off, as plastic won't damage paintwork, don't get too close with heat gun mind.
Will this method get the badge off without breaking the pins?
-
what about sliding a feeler guage between the pins and then holding either edge of the guage and lifting it off rather than prying?
-
I just prised mine off just like gulf said, and pins came out fine, badge was intact no problem.

That does look really good actually!

I welded, grinded, filled and sprayed mine and it looks awesome! No problems at all!
(excuse the paint!)
Bear in mind though, you will need to take some paint away from around the hole for the welding!

I got shot of the ugly badge and got me this
Mine was easy to take off, it was only stuck on with rubbish glue (and had been put on upside down might I add! :roll: ).

Possibly, but this was a replacement bonnet. Maybe it was a bad luck bonnet?
