Induction pipe breather

going to be replacing the induction pipe with some alloy pipe but was wondering how the car will run withought the breather from the cam covers being left open at the T section
Should i pay the extra £20ish to get a pipe with a breather bit added
-
Also anyone happen to know the ID of the breather pipe in question

is it a 1.6 or a v6

I took mine off and replaced with stainless pipe and to be honest I have not noticed any difference what so ever on anything, I know it removes a lot of oil vapour through there but it hasnt made a sausage of difference on mine in the 8 months its been on
