Expert Electrical help needed
-
Hi, I am pretty good with car electrics and have quite a bit of experience with it but I am stumped as I cannot find anyone that can help me with this problem
I have just upgraded all the indicator bulbs to LED as they use less electricity which means better fuel consumption and have gone clear all round so I needed coloured bulbs.
Now that I have fitted the LED bulbs, they use so little electricity now that the relay that makes the indicators blink thinks that the bulbs have blown and they just flash really fast even though they are all working
Any idea what I can do to fix this ????

i know the answer to this one lol!!
i had same problem when fitting leds indicators to rear cluster.
You need load resistors, just use splice lugs to connect across the positive and negative in line with that lamp holder. It will increase the loading and put blinking back to normal.
Will find a link for you, its been a while since i fitted mine.

make sure you get ones with tails and splice lugs, everything you need to do job.
