NUMBER PLATE PLINTH

Does anyone know if there are any differences in the MX-3 and MX5 front bumper plinth as the price difference is huge as the mx5 is as cheap as £25 for a brand new one

Yea the Mx-5 one is different, it's thinner and curved a bit more than ours.
You can see the difference side by side as I was wondering the same thing as you so compared it to my uncle's 5.

What I did to my old one cos it was badly cracked was fibre glass the inside to hold it together, filled the cracks and painted it. Looked good as new.

I have cracked it !!!
I went walking around the scrappy today looking for plinths as all the MX's had been robbed and stumbled on a cracker. I bought one for £3 from a toyota MR2 mk2, its much better design, much stronger plastic, the curve on the front matches but the sides are a little out otherwise its thinner and seems to fit better, I will upload pics when its all fitted this weekend

In one of the largest scrappies on the south coast I only found this one but look on ebay, I will upload pix next week as its being fitted this weekend
