Can I remove Crossmember without causing alignment issues?
I know on some cars you need alignment pins for when you bolt it back up.
Don't want to mess anything up.
Also can I remove all the rear crossmember and suspension components without causing any problems?
-
just ran throught the tech data i have Boss and it doesnt mention using pins or alignment issues..
-
What does it say?
I've got the Chiltons Manual , but can't find anything in it.
-
just found a section in the mazda pdf i have clearly says you need to do alignment after reinstalling it all..
-
Can you take a screenshot af the bit you read and put it up for me.
Does it mention the crossmember?

-

you shouldn't have to. the rs 4cyl edition's here in canada do not come with them and the guy's that turbo their mx-3's remove them and don't do an alignment.
-
You can remove the cross member with no alignment issues. Bolt on and off jobby.
-
looks to be the subframe, which can indeed just be bolted off :) Aside from the steering rack which needs to be disconnected IIRC.

Thanks Guys, yes it is the subframe I suppose.
I'm getting the suspension components blasted and painted and thought I might aswell get this done too.
