How wide can i go?!
-
I am in the market for some wheels and a friend of mine made me a very interesting offer on his old set.
The specs on them are
16"
9j wide
15mm offset.
My car will be lowered by 40mm in the next couple of weeks and i wondered if im going to suffer any rubbing issues?
I know it might eb impossible to fit them but people do put 18s on MXs so i was hoping i might find room in there somewhere!
help?!

 9" wide, that's pretty serious haha!
I'm on 7.5" with no bother, but don't know if you're getting Ron J in those arches
I'd just try it and see. Coilovers would give you more clearance, but not so sure with stock struts and springs. There's a guy in US on D2s running 7.5s with 245 wide tyres, which must be close to what's on those.

interesting, i might jus put them on and go for a drive!
It would look like a right Euro-Jap mobile with the 9j wheels!
Lets hope they fit
Edit:
Where can you get coilovers for the MX in the UK and is there mush choice? I cant seem to find many!

coillys discussed here mate :D

i got k sports hehe

nice one ill have a look.

Sheesh, that's allot to spend on a car that only cost £750!
I think ill jus roll with standard shocks and springs for now.
D2s are on the list if i get another Civic Vti at the end of the year!

If ya going wide you better go low too and camber them 9js in
to get the tyres inside the arches  :D hopefully :P

Although i might see if i can camber them like this so they are flush with the arches:
That said, it is all ££££ permitting and as im saving for another Civic so i might jus put the Borbets on with the current 40mm drop and see what they look like

allrite dubstep, do you know how wide you can go then, im gteing them bbs rs but duno what offset i could go im thinking -30- to 35 mm, but not sure
gona get the arches flared, n with the hydraulics get the arch to sit on the tyre…just need the fitment!
