Rear drums –> rotors conversion??
-
First off, I'm from the US so sorry if my lingo isn't right.
I'm thinking (dreaming of really) converting my Mx3's rear drum brakes to rotors, wondering if I will get a significant change in performance at the track?
I didn't know if anyone has attempted this and if so what advice you could give?
I planned to go to the parts yard when it warms up and look around for ideas but while it's cold I guess I will look around the net.
Thanks guys!

Hey Bud,
Check this out.

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=57441Basicly you'll have to go to a junkers and grab as much as you can off a GS.
You'll need the hubs, spindles, calipers, rotors, brake lines, hand brake cables, and the booster as far as I can tell.
Good luck with the swap.

A Disc/Drum setup is perfectly fine to be honest, if the car is just a general fun car then I'd leave the braking system as it is and just make sure you've got good quality pads and shoes.
