  • green wiper arms, you crazy cat!

That's got to be the cleanest power steering cooler line ever in an mx3.

LOL if you have a theme stick with it hahaha
The power steering pipe was rusted to bits but after shot blasting it was in good order so now its powder coated itll last a long time

  • Yeh the wiper arms are pretty out there. Didn't quite register before but no that its been highlighted…

At least dirty fox keeps most of it under the bonnet. lol.
Will look ace though i'm sure. Get em on.

  • Big crack into the car today as she keeps losing a lot of water somewhere and has been dripping oil onto the exhaust recently

Bought new gaskets all round for the top of the heads + inlet manifold

Think I have found the leak at that stupid plastic connector running into the bulkhead for the heater, seems to be some water staining there but it only does it when the temp gets high and it builds up pressure in the system

spent a fortune on replacing ALL the cheap metal clips on all the hoses with stainless steel jubilee clips

Fitted the new powder coated rocker cover for the rear bank

Put it all back together

Will be doing more tomorrow as I have naff all to do :D

  • lots of green! I didn't realize they made greenstuff pads for the front for the mx!

  • the full set is around £60 for the MX

  •

car is all back to how it should be and didnt need the heads off

Did the london tunnel run at the weekend and drove amazing

Replaced the main water feed under the inlet manifold in the bottom of the V, mazda had to have one produced to replace it and was surprised it only cost £48 for something to be made that old now. Anyway news seals etc and no more water loss and cut the plug out for the eletric fan as it was being a bit intermittent so it works fine
While stripping found the dizzy and rotor arm had some pitting in it so replaced that and the car is stonkingly fast again

Think my TPS is down to dodgy wires as this time put everything back together and yet again my high revs have returned that vanished last time when I did the inlet gaskets due to a leak

Another update I found a fanastic way to wire up my halos in the headlights using the original loom so I will do a how to on that as its very simple, I used all the green bulbs from a few old dashboard clocks I have so I have green halos to match the engine baycolour, they arent great so ordered some very green LED ones from japan now

Cant see it to well but at night she looks a bit like a transformer now

  • Been busy today, sneak preview of work in progress. big update soon

  • More work this morning. repairs and sanding ready for primer this week on body parts

and a carbon hatch garnish popped out the mould this morning

  • Love that bumper so much !!, you should use one of your boat contacts to make a mould and start producing them. Theres no one in europe that does only U.S and even that is stopping now :(

its already stopped. they havent made them in awhile. Corksport just sold off the 2 remaining one's they had been sitting on forever when they clearenced them out for like $150. 'The Pile" scooped up the last one they had.

  • great update today

All body panels went to the spray shop today so in a couple of weeks I hopefully get them back ready to fit, thats MS front bumper, JDM rear bumper, MS tailgate and spoiler, ujdm side skirts

just getting a price to have the equipe logo's recreated down the side of the car but modified in colour with a personal touch added

Today, after what seems like 200 years I finally got my powerflow stainless system back after being modified to fit properly, so bunked off work an hour early and whacked that sucker on

Not so much louder than the 5" beast fitted before but you get all the valve over run and popping that I missed out with the old one and love to hear

Tailpipe is 6" x 3" with straight through center section and handbuilt by powerflow and sounds awesome with my decat :bigok:

Mot this month too and some tax at the end of the month and she is good for another year

heres some update pics, will reveal the full work at japfest this year so these are the last pics before another major facelift

  • Great to see the project rolling on again Keith, bet you cant wait for all the Japbling to go on, should look wicked 8)

  • That piping looks so tiny! What size is it?? 2.25"? 2"?

  • pre japfest sneaky peek

I had a couple of hours this week at work spare so I cut this, just needs sanding, into shape then sand all over and it will be ready for lacquer and mounts, its not a great fit but I have learnt a lot with this first one and just a bit of heavy sanding and it will get pretty close
