Belt help….which is which?
-
Right, I have an mx-3 that has been stood for almost a year due to a cambelt snap. This weekend I finally had the time to fit a new cambelt.
Getting to the cambelt casing (on a 1.8 v6) I have had to take two other drive belts off that had rotted during the standing year…..what are they for? As far as I can see the second one I get to drives the water pump, but I don't know what the first one drives. Can someone confirm what both of them do for me as the workshop manual just calls them drive belts.
Thanks

nobody knows?

The water pump is driven by one of the belts.
The other one drives the alternator or power steering. What is the actual problem that you are having other than not knowing what belt does what?

No problem, just need to buy replacement belts and wanted to confirm which ones I need to look for.
So its alternator/power steering belt and water pump belt….right?
Thanks bby the way :)

Would these belts be the correct ones?
