Merry Christmas

  • Merry Christmas to all remaining Mx3 members, and wishing you all a trouble free Mx3 motoring new year ,I have joined my local Mx5 owners club ,as there is member renovating an Mx3 and I thought that I could share /swop some of the parts that I have accumulated, They seem a friendly bunch and I did once own an Mx5 for my sins .My Mx3 is tucked safely away for the winter ,and as I live in rural Norfolk and the roads are diabolical during the winter months .My wife kindly treated me to having both doors resprayed as a birthday present,so I need to take care of the paintwork
    Regards Mushman

  • @mushman
And a Merry Christmas from me too, my car sits out on the road under its cover and I take it out once a week to keep it properly lubed and charged, I try to restrict it to dry days but sometimes I have to dry it afterwards before putting the cover back on!!

  • Unfortunately where I Iive there is always mud and water lying around in winter,as it's a farming community and sometimes it's difficult tell the road from a field ,when sugar beet is being harvested,Hence I keep the Mx off the road until the spring Another hazard is roaming deer occasionally sheep and lost tourist's Normal for Norfolk and good

  • Merry Christmas!

The Az-3 is still running strong. Got a lovely coil on plug tie down plate for it from KAInjection recently. No more bouncing COPs :)

    Show us your paint! :D

  • @mushman
Just bought a complete set of genuine Mazda X3 workshop manuals ,I didn't realise just how big and heavy they would be ,I am going to get a bigger bookcase, too risky to leave in the garage, there are mice about .Soon be summer.

  • Well done Mushman, do they cover the 1.6 Auto as well as the V6? Merry Xmas

  • Hi Mick ,the manual covers the V6 but only the manual gearbox,I didn't think the V6 came as an automatic, but I could be wrong
    Mushman

  • No you're quite right, the auto only on the 1.6 which I have to drive due to a very weak left ankle, following an accident involving me, a step ladder and a tree root!! That was 10 years or so ago but the ankle has never regained full strength so a clutch is only possible for a very short journey so no good for my daily ride!

  • I did own the 1.6 auto for a while until some kind lady hit me up the rear when I was crossing Wroxham bridge and she was busy looking at the boats ,it wrote the MX3 off.it was a nice motor
