Sooty 2.0 - Autozam AZ-3 B5ZE - rear bumper respray

so much space around that engine bay.
never come across that? how was it causing a tick?
-
I've never heard such a percussive exhaust leak. It was right at the head, the two layers of metal were there but the black centre stuff was blown out.
Yea so roomy! It's brilliant being able to stand in the bay :D

Loving the power plant!, so what's next ??
Wanna race ??? :)
-
Haha! Love the cheeky pops under the bridge
Turbo envy is setting in!
-
Thanks Ricco! Haha turbos are just too fun :)
lol yea sure come on over Garfy!
This was next, £40 HKS super dragger exhaust off gumtree from a Glanza. Pity it was dented at the tip and the baffles were on the verge of being blown out. The perforated tube had rotten a bit exposing the packing. The bottom had also been flattened and scraped, these people and their lowness :P
So naturally I chopped it into pieces.
-Carefully cut the end open
-I rammed in a better condition perforated tube
-hammered out the big dent on the tip
-rotated the tip 180deg so all scrapes are hidden at the top
-sanded and polished it up
-new brackets
-welded to my exhaust
Might have to remove my mid silencer, turbos got things far too quiet!
-
That's the sh*t right there! Nicely played Sir :D
-
OOooooo…. I like that exhaust. NICE work. :respect:
-
-
Amazing!!!Do you have any videos????? :respect:
-

Nice work :rimshot:
-
EXhaust grilled BK whopper anyone,lol
-
Haha!
Must get more video done.
Decided car was too quiet, it still is very quiet even now, but the pops and bangs are better :)
Replaced centre box with 2.5" stainless!
-
Nice, I had 2.5" & a straight through rear 'box on the 205..That shit was loud! :D
-
you engineering and builds are the best your video's are the worse lol
-
Very nice, Yes 2.5" should do nicely. That is what I ran on mine and was very loud!
-
Haha I can't believe how quiet it is! That turbo is like the ultimate muffler!
Been arising about with the IAC, boring stuff, bit weird to set up on megasquirt.
-
Big day on Saturday. I ordered a Dinitrol underbody and cavity wax kit and have booked in to apply it at a DIY garage where you can hire car lifts.
Should be good experience and it'll be nice to get under the car and get things rust proofed against the councils annual creation of the dead sea! Will take pics before and after :)
-
Nice look forward to seeing what this is all about, will be hecka lot easier using a pukka ramp. Not taking any chances on this one eh!
-
Give your car a really good clean underneath and up in the wheel arches before you go!!
Or take it somewhere and get it steam cleaned underneath.
Make sure you take a drill and several wire brush ends for it to clean up any rusty bits before under sealing it.
And a can of quick drying undercoat to cover any bits that you have cleaned to bare metal. Plus some black quick drying topcoat for touching up wishbones etc etc…
You get the idea.
