Sooty 2.0 - Autozam AZ-3 B5ZE - rear bumper respray
-
Great pic man and well done! How did She drive?! 8)
-
Drives awesome! Really loving being boosted again and the power is sweeeeeet! Turbo sounds awesome, though it has fairly quietened down the exhaust. Nice for motorway though. Got 34mpg which is amazing considering the launch control at every photographer and tunnel, the average 30mph crawl up, and er 70 back home.

Love the sig :-D
-
haha cheers dude. Finally got my webhosting sorted again and got that back on the go. Lost my marcharrington.com though dammit!
Also got new vinyl stickers made up of AZ-3 for the boot lid :)

Good pipeage Bro :D Past the rad. is the way forward ;)
-
Thanks guys! Yea it really is, I decided to just use all the v6 stuff I had already for the IC and rad :)
Dealing with a crap idle valve atm, I may just block it off in protest to its erratic behaviour.
Also deciding on a boost controller… I feel 6 psi is just so unchallenging for the engine and stock clutch!
-
Love your commitment to finding the slipping point of the Clutch :D
What Boost controller you thinking? 3 way Amal valve affair works exceedingly well :)
-
Thinking of getting the megasquirt compatible valve, then it will be nice and minimalist :) Been working at other projects atm but went to a meet for a while yesterday:
-
Stunning..
Care to share the font used for the rear letting? Would be sweet!
-
Love those SSR's  8)
Cant beet how FI feels, wish I had a turbo for mine
-
how does the 1.5 turbo compare to other versions of the MX-3 you have built?
-
great work mate.
i have an az-3 in black too, has the rear sun shade and side window rain/wind deflectors.but great someone else local to me who knows all about the az3.

Cheers spoddy!
Admin it's actually great fun. I think it's a bit quicker than the ZE and does it all at the last 3000revs. Very drivable daily and seems pretty economical too. Must get it dynod and dragged.
Yesterday I replaced:
Timing belt and pulleys and spring
Cam seals
Crank seal
Water pump
Also stripped and cleaned 8x intake hla
It was all a pleasure to replace! Very easy on this engine :)
It still didn't cure my HLA tick but that's because that turned out to be an exhaust gasket!
-
so much space around that engine bay.
never come across that? how was it causing a tick?
-
I've never heard such a percussive exhaust leak. It was right at the head, the two layers of metal were there but the black centre stuff was blown out.
Yea so roomy! It's brilliant being able to stand in the bay :D

Loving the power plant!, so what's next ??
Wanna race ??? :)

Haha! Love the cheeky pops under the bridge
Turbo envy is setting in!
