Remove them, hammerite the insides and you've got another 10 years out of the arches (if they aren't already rotten).

I've seen a few people's MX3's with real black shit shields in the wheel arches.

ahhh! I just use back to black type product. You pay as much as you like for it. I heard the meguiars gel stuff is meant to be more long lasting. Tesco does it for me :lol:

Tyre shine and black shoe polish is what I used before. They get as dirty as an Irish catholic priest after 5 mins on the road so it's pointless really, worth getting 'em off to see if there's any rust hidden away all the same.
