@7f7e1acc49=djmarcopolo:
Well I binned off adrian flux and got a better quote with SKY Insurance :D :D
I got them to match what adrian flux offered with the mods with the legal cover added for free and got it £5.00 cheaper plus they didnt give me a hard sell like adrian flux did and slightly pi**ed me off with too.
I got the price beaten by being a member of HJC so I will look into get the club recognised with them
Price is now £440 all mods declared :D :D
who did you speek to at sky insurance?
-
Bollocks, I took out insurance with adrian flux, is it not too late to cancel? is there a cooling off period? My insurance policy does not start until beginning of september, I have fully paid already, thoughts please
-
I would call them, there should be a 14 day cooling off period, they might want to charge you an admin fee though!
-
I am pretty sure you can change your mind wqith no fee's for 7-14 days even if you have paid up front
-
My Flux insurance renewal just came through, it beat Sky by £2!
-
I didnt like the hard sell that flux tried on me as a new customer, I only asked for a quote and then at the end of it all I got was if I dont do it now then it will go up by the time I was prepared to pay the following week, not only that I spent over 5 mins on hold on the new customer quote line which should be answered instantly for new customers and that is just a standard thing with all call centers - new custom should always be prioritised, it wasnt there that day
Plus today flux phoned back and I told them I went with sky and they got quite arsey because I had bought it from sky for only £5 less than they quoted, that bloke was a bit of a d*ck !!- = u

I saved a load of money up a few years ago by doing 2 jobs, got rid of all loans and then april came along paid for everything up front, house and car insurance+12 months tax, council taxThen with almost no monthly outgoings I quit the second job and started saving that way and TBH its the best thing I ever did and now I just save each year to pay them off in one and I have a lot more freedom each month, I save a little each month for council tax and car insurance but the rest I can pay up front when they are due because I have saved so much from not having the money go out every month

Been on the blower again to Flux, my annual mileage was set to unlimited, I knocked that down to 7K a year, and also quoted UKMX-3.COM and in total received £100 off, total for the year £403! well happy now :D
-
There was a post on her before from a sky insurance rep i think ??? but cant find to reply.
So not happy with sky insurance!, had my car there before for 2-3 yrs before the quote got beaten by adrian flux. This year i thought i give them another shot at taking over the insurance from adrian flux.
Adrian flux renual £404.00
Sky over £800.00 !!!!!!!!
Honestly i dont know how they can be so far out!, there last renual price was £411.00 as its still on there system
I wont be calling them again from no on !.

Is it possible the topic doesnt exist becasue we dont get discount from sky anymore?!

I had my MX3 insured with AA and they never gave me any problems and a very good price. Until now - once I set up an other policy for my MR2. Staying with them seems to be suspicious as I then got two letters from their fraud-people asking for a shitload of information (copies of V5, drivers license, utility bill, something to proof NCB…). Have posted everything yesterday so hopefully should all be sorted soon.
However - as it looks like I have already sold my MX3 I will cancel that policy with them soon. Insurance for the MR2 is very cheap however - about £250.
